I have not been active lately with my blogging.I have not even had a chance to come back to the TG Town and participate.
I was in for a surprise when i logged into the Wordpress Dashboard today.One look at the StatPress plugin and i was smiling all the way.
Reason: TG domain is a favorite with Search Engines and even the subdomains get a lot of organic juice passed.

My article on Tata Docomo has been a hit with virtually every search engine query on TATA Docomo!!!!
Now, in technical terms a keyword combination having Docomo is competitive since its a hot topic and has been getting a lot of digital media attention.So, had it been on a normal WP/blogger blog, there was no way my article would have ranked this high.
Here are some of the reasons for this favourable ranking
- The parent domain www.totalgadha.com is well established and highly ranked.So, its evident that even the subdomains(all the user blogs) are looked upon as worthy candidates for good content.
- Cross-Linking using Anchor Keywords - This is critical for establishing link authority.If you notice i linked the Docomo keyword in my post on ZooZoo success story
Now, the organic traffic is nothing to talk home right now.It is very minimal but considering the nascent stage of the blog and limited number of posts, the traffic is rather heartening.
And did i tell you the importance of Search Engine Traffic.How about this? Search Engine traffic is one aspect which can make you a 6 figure blogger like TG :-) . Excited to know more.. Well, that and more in the next post.

However, will have to experiment a lot with this blog.The blog does thrive on the community participation and will take sometime to get the required eyeballs.
Moreover, after the adsense fiasco i am skeptical playing around with widgets and themes:-(
I have had decent spurts in traffic using Stumble Upon and twitter!! But need to strategise more how to get the best out of this blog.But, i am not disappointed with the beginning:-)
