'Sharing is Caring' & How To Increase Blog Traffic

We all blog for various reasons!! Someone does it to pen their thoughts, some one does it to share their opinions,and a some do it for conversations and the list goes on.

But, what is the point of writing a blog if no one reads it.

If you are the kind who writes for self-satisfaction , you are free not to read further:-)

Jokes apart, The primary reason i took to blogging was to share my thoughts/opinions with an audience.I am no expert at anything but then I exercise my right to freedom of thought and pen it down on my blog.

However, I need readers to comment and criticize me, applaud me for what i write.Without that, the whole purpose of blogging is defeated for me.

It is this connect and the feedback from the readers which is the biggest motivator for blogging.But, how does one build readership.There are lakhs of blogs floating around in the blogosphere and it is difficult for someone to locate my blog and read the content i write.

So, how do you ensure that your blog gets noticed and read by the masses.The single word solution for this problem is,

SHARING

As they say , Sharing is Caring!!! When you write something and want feedback, what do you do? You probably e-mail the link to friends, ping them on IM and the likes.The same goes when you come across a write-up/article which you find worth reading and want others to read it too.But, how many of us do it?

More so, why restrict the sharing to a closed set of friends when the world(Internet) is the limit.Why not leverage the Social Networks and share the articles with the rest of the world.If you find the article worthy, why not give a chance for others to discover the content too.

I recently did a post on connecting with me on various Social Networking sites.The advantage of Social Media is the "Social" aspect of it.When you share an article on let's say Facebook, twitter, you have made the first attempt towards Caring for your blog by Sharing it.

With a steadfast community like the one at TG Town, we can all leverage each other's networks and promote share worthy content on the Internet.

I am an internet addict and very active on the Social networks.I plug all my articles on FB, twitter and selectively share my articles on other social media sites.I also share other articles that i read on these sites because sharing takes only a minute and it is amazing.

I have been doing it already for some articles that i read on TG Town.But, to kick off things formally, here is a set of article i shared on the Internet.

It is a way of life for me.The more i read, the more i share.It is due to this very art of sharing that I get a chance to read the best articles on the Internet.

So, be generous with sharing. Believe me, Sharing is Sexy :-)

• You will be surprised with the results.One single link shared on the Internet could bring you tons of readers.But, with everything else Share only if you feel its worthy of Sharing.The community likes to read articles that appeal to them or might be useful for them.Don't over do it but do it on a regular basis.


• Sharing will motivate you to write better every time.When you know your content is out there for the whole world to see, you are motivated to write better.May be @Bazzinga will testify this:-)
